EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

“Learn While You Earn”

The training provided to staff at Tri-City CARES is part of the Community Staff Training Program offered through Minot State University and NDCPD. This training consists of the required training for all Tri-City staff, including but not limited to, CPR, First Aid, Therapeutic Intervention, and obtaining DD Certification.  It goes beyond that though, as staff who are interested in furthering their education in the field of Developmental Disabilities have the opportunity to attain Advanced Certification. An Associates of Science with Emphasis in Developmental Disabilities, a Bachelor of Science in Developmental Disabilities (Non-Teaching) and a Master of Science in Special Education are also available through Minot State University. Although these opportunities are not required for employment they are available to staff with substantial discounts in fees. For more information please contact Sarah Rismon at 628-2990 or resourcedirector@midstatetel.com
